WHO WE ARE

Millrace Development is a commercial real estate development company that exists to become the go-to source for discovering and creating value through acquisition, development, and disposition of real estate in the Southeastern United States. Our mission is to help all parties to our transactions maximize their investments and achieve their business/personal goals through innovative investment and development strategies. We have a team of experienced professionals who are committed to delivering the highest quality services to our clients.

Rob McAlister, Jr. 

PRESIDENT

Rob cut his teeth in commercial real estate working for a regional retail developer building single tenant net leased assets and multi-tenant strip centers across the Southeast. He was also the Senior Asset Manager for a large international private equity fund (hospitality-focused) with offices in London, UK; Atlanta, GA and Dubai, UAE. Rob’s underwriting toolkit includes certification in ARGUS Enterprise as well as advanced real estate Excel modeling training through A.CRE Accelerator. Over his career to date,  Rob has assisted in the underwriting, acquisition, development and/or asset management of commercial real estate valued at over $500 Million.

Josh Schreck

ACQUISITIONS DIRECTOR / PROJECT MANAGER

Josh has a knack for creative problem-solving and prioritizing client satisfaction above all else. His experience and passion in these industries allow him to work closely with clients to turn their visions into beautifully executed projects. He loves managing the details that go into each project, from scheduling to budgeting, all while maintaining relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
